Stage Manager Nightmares (PT. 4)
Found out that one of the child actors is extremely sick and will not be able to make it to show. (NOTE: I am NOT blaming the actor - she’s only 10 for pete’s sake! I only hope that she gets better and starts to feel better. No child that age should be forced to perform while having a fever of 102 or strep throat!)
BUT NOW I GOTTA FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO FOR THE SHOW.
WE ARE REWRITING PARTS, I THINK. (OMG, I MIGHT HAVE STREP THROAT?).
DO WE NEED TO CANCEL?
COMMUNITY THEATER IS HARD BECAUSE I MADE ALL OF THE PHONE CALLS TO THE NECESSARY PEOPLE BUT NO ONE HAS RESPONDED.
Must.Remain.Calm. (Cue the image of me running in circles shouting ‘Whatdowedo?Whatdowedo?)
